Voicemail Project: How Much Of A Doomsday Prepper Are You?

May 3, 2019

Do you rush to the store to buy food before a snowstorm? Do you buy flashlights and a generator in case the power goes out? Do you insure your home, your car, your health against catastrophe?

Reality shows like National Geographic Channel's Doomsday Preppers and the Discovery Channel's Doomsday Bunkers are perfect examples of why a lot of us roll our eyes at the stereotype of the survivalist.  The real 'reality' is that there's a little prepper in all of us, just not as extreme as those depicted on TV.

Wednesday, May 8, the Colin McEnroe Show looks at preppers. We want to hear from you.

Do you buy organic food? Will you only drink bottled water? Are you preparing for the next storm? Do you avoid antibiotics or wash your hands a lot? You may not have an underground bunker but you might have a bug out bag and a supply of canned foods.

Call our voicemail number -- 860-580-9677 -- and tell us your fears and how you prepare to to handle them. When you call us, it's you and the phone. No one will be at the other end. You don't need to leave your name unless you want to. If you mess up, just start over, or call the line and start again. Try and limit your comments to two minutes. We'll edit any mistakes.
