Hartford police say about 30 people are injured after a crowded deck collapsed at an off-campus party near Trinity College. No major injuries have been reported.
Deputy Chief Brian Foley said the third-floor deck collapsed first, causing the decks underneath it also to collapse. The most serious of the injuries was a broken arm.
Trinity College spokeswoman Kathy Andrews said 28 of the victims are students at the school. The house is located about two-tenths of a mile from Trinity's campus. It is owned, but not managed by the college.

Andrews said most of the students injured have been treated and released from nearby hospitals. The school has been reaching out to the families of those students hurt.
"We are very lucky that there were no fatalities and no known critical injuries from what could have been a truly tragic incident," said Mayor Luke Bronin in a statement.
