Conn. Vaccine Task Force Members Named

Gov. Ned Lamont has announced members of a wide-ranging advisory group that will recommend a statewide strategy for distributing an anticipated coronavirus vaccine. The group will be led by the acting Department of Public Health commissioner Dr. Deidre Gifford, and Dr. Reginald Eadie, who leads Trinity Health of New England. Other members of the group announced on Friday include state legislators, medical experts, union, business and religious leaders, state officials, academics and others. They're expected to begin meeting in mid-October, and the meetings will be open to the public. Lamont relied on a similar advisory group when the economy was being reopened.
