UCONN'S WATER WILL COME FROM CONNECTICUT WATER CO.
Controversial plan dropped to draw from MDC supply.
The Connecticut Water Co. was chosen to provide the University of Connecticut with an additional water supply in the coming years, as the campus expands. This means no more proposal to build a 20-mile pipeline to draw the water from elsewhere in the state.

GUN MANUFACTURERS LEAVING THE STATE
Sensing a hostile environment for manufacturing guns, weapons makers are gradually leaving Connecticut. Other states seem glad to welcome them, as restrictions failed at the federal level and various states are handling their approaches to policy in different ways.

NEW RULES FOR JURY DUTY
The Connecticut Supreme Court recently ruled that jurors will have to agree to a policy stating their cooperation on avoiding all publicity about the case, and if exposed to it, they have to report it to the court. The decision is related to Kervick v Silver Hill Hospital.
