The University of Connecticut has approved the extension of three vendor contracts in an effort to improve COVID testing for the spring semester. Hearst Connecticut reportsUConn has spent close to $3.5 million on testing so far and with these new extensions, the university will allocate up to $10 million for the spring. In hopes of keeping up with testing demands, the university will be able to administer up to 65,000 tests next semester -- more than twice the tests it’s already conducted.
