Today’s yet another deadline in the ongoing saga of “Connecticut’s Congressional Map.” Lawmakers repeatedly missed deadlines to draw district lines and eventually punted to the state Supreme Court - saying they’re deadlocked over a few details. The Court considered....quickly...then lobbed the ball back into the lawmakers court, telling them to get back to work, and get them a list of nominations for a “special master” to oversee a final decision. That’s due today...then this mystery map maker will help get the final map drawn by Feb. 15th.  Of course there are party politics involved - and it doesn’t help that there’s an open seat in the 2012 elections in the 5th Congressional district.  I know you’ll be surprised that THAT is where the dispute is.
