Through the first 12 holes, Jim Furyk was 11 strokes under par.
Jim Furyk shot a 58 at the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut on Sunday. It's the lowest round in PGA Tour history.
The previous record of 59 was first hit in 1977 by Al Geiberger. Since then, five more golfers hit that number. The most recent golfer to hit it on the PGA Tour? Jim Furyk in 2013.
Jim Furyk can now tell people he once shot 59 on the PGA Tour -- and it wasn't even his best career round.

His 57th stroke was a long putt, requiring one more shot on the 18th hole.
