In the more than six years that it's been on the air, we've never taken The Colin McEnroe Show to the Peabody Museum before. (Crazy, right?) And: In the more than six years that it's been on the air, we've never done a Colin McEnroe Show about dinosaurs before. (Crazy! Right!?)
So last Tuesday we rectified both of those things at once. We went down to New Haven and taped a show right there in the Great Hall of Dinosaurs in front of a pretty sizable live audience (as well as a very sizable, long-dead audience).
This hour, we talk to three different paleontologists about all the newest news in the world of dinosaurs: the "dino-chicken" (it's a thing!), the Brontosaurus (it's a thing again!), the Nanotryrannus (it may or may not be a thing!), and more. And we talk to Richard Conniff, whose new book, House of Lost Worlds, covers the 150-year (150 years!) history of this New Haven gem, the Peabody.
