Connecticut lawmakers are attempting to update the state's "Do Not Call Registry" by including unsolicited text messages as well as phone calls. A bill that would add text messages to the list of prohibited activities unanimously passed the Senate on Tuesday. Wind Energy Projects Move Forward
New wind energy projects can now move forward in Connecticut. Tuesday's announcement ends a three-year moratorium on wind turbines. Lawmakers praised the regulations for protecting citizens while opening up a new, renewable source of energy for the state.
Three More Charged in Drug Heist
Federal authorities have charged three more Florida men in the 2010 theft of millions of dollars worth of prescription drugs from an Eli Lilly warehouse in Enfield. The heist is believed to be the largest theft in Connecticut history, and in the history of the pharmaceutical industry nationwide. Thieves stole more than $75 million worth of Zyprexa, Cymbalta, Prozac, as well as other drugs. Two other men have already been charged in the case.

New Electric Car Charging Station
Electric car owners will now be able to charge their cars in the privacy of a residential community instead of in public. Today, state officials gathered at the Alterra | Rocky Hill community for the unveiling of a new station. The station developer used some recycled building materials to create the station and installed LED street lighting throughout the community.
