When Senator Richard Blumenthalannounced that he would support the deal struck between the Obama administration and Iran over that country’s nuclear program, it all but assured that the plan would go through without congressional obstacles.
That doesn’t mean that there aren’t many Americans still asking questions about the deal.
This hour, we sit down with retired Army General Mike Jones and Iranian-American businessman Amir Handjani. They recently debated the Iran Deal in a program hosted by the World Affairs Council of Connecticut.
Later, we also hear from Connecticut-bred politician Gary Franks. His new book is called With God, For God and For Country: Because We Can Do Better.
GUESTS:
- Major General Mike Jones - Former Director of Operations and Chief of Staff for the U.S. Central Command
- Amir Handjani- Truman National Security Fellow and Middle East expert
- Gary Franks - Connecticut U.S. Representative from 1991 to 1997; author of With God, For God and For Country: Because We Can Do Better
