The honeymoon period is over for Gov. Ned Lamont. When he delivers his state budget address to lawmakers later on Wednesday, there will already be plenty of animosity among those watching.

Over the weekend, Lamont sparked much rebuke with his reveal that he has backed off his campaign pledge to only support highway tolling for tractor-trailer trucks, and he is now considering tolls for all vehicles.

This week's panel, guest hosted by NBC Connecticut Political Reporter Max Reiss, gives an assessment of Lamont's roll-out of his ideas for steadying Connecticut's fiscal ship. What additional surprises are tucked into the governor's budget proposal?

We also reflect on General Electric's decision to not move forward with a proposed 12-floor headquarters in Boston. That, coupled with Amazon's retreat from its Long Island City expansion plan, has sent shockwaves to economic development officials throughout the Northeast. What lessons are there for Connecticut?

And what's to come now that Connecticut has joined multistate litigation over President Donald Trump's bid to use military construction funds to build more walls along the U.S.- Mexico border?
