Bridgeport Rolls Back to Phase Two Amid Rising COVID Cases

Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim announced Friday the city will roll back to phase two of reopening effective immediately because of a spike in coronavirus cases. Indoor businesses will drop to a 50 percent capacity and indoor gatherings must have no more than 25 people. In addition, food and “indoor recreation” businesses must close by 11 p.m. Businesses caught violating capacity rules or not enforcing masks will be issued a warning followed by closures if they continue.
