Blizzard of 2013

Paul Pfeffer

The storm known as "Nemo," at least by the Weather Channel who named it, has now been recognized as having caused sufficient damage to Connecticut to warrant a Presidential declaration of a state of emergency.

As schools throughout the state have already cancelled Monday classes, the kids will have a chance to play tomorrow, and form a lasting memory like I have of the Blizzard of 1978. Lots of sledding and hot chocolate! Stay safe and enjoy the day. The photo gallery below captures scenes of Connecticut. They too can be enjoyed accompanied by hot chocolate and you can skip the sledding.

In case you are wondering about the "Nemo" name, as I was, Disney does not own the Weather Channel. According to CNN Money, it is owned by a consortium including Comcast, NBC Universal, Blackstone Group and Bain Capital
