People around the world are watching the ongoing battle for control of Libya. Yesterday, President Obama - like most observers - seemed ready to say that rebel forces had taken control of the country, displacing Muammar Gadhafi.
But today, the situation seems very unclear. There’s heavy fighting reported today again in Tripoli, especially around the Gadhafi compound. Seif al-Islam el-Gadhafi, the ruler’s son, had reportedly been captured by rebel forces - but he reappeared and spoke in front of reporters earlier today. Meanwhile, there’s no word on where exactly Mummar Gadhafi is.
Foreign policy expert Scott Bates joins us today to talk about what he thinks is next for Libya.
