Attorney General Jeff Sessions testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, as part of the committee's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Watch the hearing:
Sessions was asked about his own meetings with Russian officials prior to becoming attorney general, and his recusal from the investigation.
The appearance came less than a week after former FBI Director James Comey testified before the same committee. President Donald Trump fired Comey on May 9, on the recommendation of Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
